FAQ

Who is the Divorce Masters process designed for?

It is designed for spouses who are interested in getting divorce, but want to do so while maintaining their emotional and economic wellbeing. The DM process is a multidisciplinary approach saving time, energy, resources and stress.

Is this an online divorce?

Divorce Masters isn’t an online divorce, though much of the process uses technology and the internet. The information gathering stage and the analysis stage rely heavily on advanced technology. After completion of the information and analysis stages, attorneys in your local area will work with you to complete the divorce. For our more “old school” clients, non-online options are available.

How much is a flat fee typically?

This is a tough question because every case is different. Facts may be different. Locations may be different. With that said, the average Divorce Masters matter will cost approximately $7,500.00.

Do I get an attorney?

Yes you do! An attorney who is part of our network will work with you and provide you legal advice so that you may make the best decision for you. All attorneys are independent of Divorce Masters, but they share the same passion for helping you through this difficult time. The cost of your attorney is factored into your flat fee and there are no hidden costs. Now you can know the true cost of your potential divorce from the very beginning of the process!

Do my spouse and I have the same attorney?

No, you don’t. That wouldn’t be fair to you, your spouse, nor the attorney. Not to mention there are ethical rules that prevent such arrangements. Both you and your spouse will have access to your own attorneys. The cost of each attorney will be included in the agreed upon flat fee at the beginning of your Divorce Masters process.

How long does the DM process take?

The DM process is completed within 90 days. Sometimes, it can be done even faster. This is very different to the typical divorce process. For more information, check out our e-book here.

Do you determine the distribution of assets?

The short answer: no. We use advanced technology to assist us in identifying and valuing all of your assets and liabilities. Once this part of the process is completed, we provide your attorneys with the necessary information they need to advise you legally regarding the fair distribution of your assets.

Is my information secure?

Of course it is! Divorce Masters was created by professionals who understand the importance of the security of your personal information. As a result……

Can my spouse see my answers?

Both you and your spouse will Build Your Own Divorce plans, and neither of you will see the other’s information. After you both build your plans and agree to the Divorce Masters process, you will gather/upload your financial information. The documents you upload will be viewable by your spouse. This is done for 2 reasons: 1. The Divorce Masters process is predicated on building and maintaining trust between the parties during the process, and access to the information allows us to build that trust. 2. There is no reason for both of you to provide the same documentation. The exception is business records, which can be kept confidential absent a confidentiality agreement.

What if I need help answering my questions?

You can contact a DM professional via phone or email.

What if I decide not to move forward?

All of your information provided to DM will be destroyed.
